Spanning three vibrant days, The Coates Newcastle Show draws audiences from across the region, inviting all to celebrate the unique blend of country and city life. Hosted by the Newcastle Agricultural, Horticultural & Industrial Association Inc., the Show has been a beloved tradition for over 120 years, creating a space where businesses, communities, and families come together to explore, experience, innovate, and revel in the rich diversity of Newcastle and the Hunter region.
Running from Friday 27 February to Sunday 1 March, the Coates Newcastle Show offers great-value ticket options for families and concessions, with free entry for children under five. Your ticket includes a full day of entertainment and access to major highlights like the Macka’s Bull Riding Rodeo and the exciting new Newy-Con Comic-Con style exhibition, along with animals, shows, competitions, activations and community displays, making it one of the most affordable and fun family days out in the Hunter.
Join us as we celebrate everything that makes the Newcastle and Hunter region extraordinary – where the city meets the country in an event like no other.
All tickets provide one-time entry on any day of the Newcastle Show.
Tickets can be used once only, on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Ticket Type Definitions
Adult (17 yrs+)
An Adult ticket applies to anyone 17 years and over.
Child/Student (5–17 yrs)
Valid for children and students aged 5 to 17 years.
A Student ID card or valid school transport pass must be shown upon entry.
Concession
Accepted concession types only:
- Aged Pension Card
- Disability Card
- Veteran Affairs Card
Family Pass (2 Adult 17yrs+ + 2 Child/Student (5–17))
Valid for 2 Adults (17yrs+) and 2 Child/Student (5–17 yrs).
Child (U4 yrs) – Free
Children under 4 years are free but must be included at the time of purchase for capacity and safety requirements.
Child (U4 yrs) tickets will not be issued, but they must still be added to your order.
Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket to the 2026 Newcastle Show, you are agreeing with the Newcastle Showground Entry Conditions (these can be found on our website).
Entry into the 2026 Coates Newcastle Show will be via Griffiths Road, Curley Road and Brown Road.
GATE TIMES:
- FRIDAY: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- SATURDAY: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- SUNDAY: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Tickets can be scanned from mobile devices or printed tickets.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Online Ticket Sales will end at 2:00pm on Sunday 1 March 2026.
